1. Who we are

Directo ("Directo", "we", "us") operates directo.co.in, a rating and match-tracking platform for India's padel community. This policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, and how it's used and protected.

2. Information we collect

When you create a Directo account, we collect:

• Your name and email address (used to sign in via a one-time code)
• Your phone number (used so other players and Directo can reach you, e.g. over WhatsApp, about matches)
• Your starting skill rating, and optionally your preferred side, gender, city/state, and date of birth

As you use Directo, we also store the matches you log: scores, dates, and who you played with or against (by name, and by account if they're also on Directo).

3. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and verify it's you via email one-time codes
• To calculate and update your rating as match results come in
• To connect you with a partner or opponent you name when logging a match, by matching their phone number to an existing account
• To send you notifications by WhatsApp and email — new matches logged with you, confirmations needed, disputes, and match results
• To respond to messages you send us through the contact form

4. What other players can see

Directo is a shared rating system, so some of your information is visible to other players by design: your name, current rating, and match history are visible to people you've played or been matched with. Your phone number is only shared with someone when it's needed to notify them about a match you've logged together.

5. Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Directo, and only share what each one needs to do its job:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account sign-in
• Resend — delivers our transactional emails (sign-in codes, match notifications)
• Vercel — hosts the Directo website and application

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and match data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data deleted, contact us and we'll process the request.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Show you what personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data (most of this — like your city, side preference, gender, or date of birth — you can also edit directly from your dashboard)
• Delete your account and associated data

8. Who can use Directo

Directo is intended for users aged 18 and older.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Directo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
